Easy-to-use user interface


Equipped with a high-definition large 12.1-inch TFT-LCD (1,280×800) display, in addition to touchscreen operation, intuitive operation is possible via function keys on the front panel and independent knobs for each function.


①X-Y display area
Any voltage/current parameters can be assigned to the X and Y axes, enabling display of various semiconductor characteristic curves such as Vds-Id characteristics, threshold voltage, and Vds-Vgs saturation characteristics. Multiple parameters can also be assigned to the Y axis. The scale can be switched between Log and linear.

	②Y-T display area
	The applied waveforms of measurements are displayed along a time axis like an oscilloscope. Since waveform anomalies such as oscillation at pulse-width measurement points can be checked in real time, it is easy to verify whether measurements were performed correctly. All applied waveform data can be saved together with the X-Y display data, allowing measurement results to be re-verified.

③Measurement data display area
Displays detailed measurement results, measurement conditions, and status in text form.

	④Configuration setting area
	Configure the measurement setup for the device. Graphical display assists with selection of voltage/current units and wiring changes.

⑤ Parameter setting area
In this area, measurement parameters and measurement limits are set, and manual/automatic measurement is switched.


	⑥Operation panel
	The front panel is equipped with buttons and rotary knobs, enabling simple manual measurement. The numeric keypad in the center allows input of parameter values. Manual measurement is easily performed using the drain/collector gate/base vertical-axis and horizontal-axis rotary knobs.

This is a 2kV/5kV high-voltage unit. DC/pulse waves can be selected. Constant voltage and constant current drive measurement can be selected.

■MV unit (common to all main units)
This is a 200 V medium-voltage unit. Constant-voltage or constant-current drive measurement can be selected. In addition to DC and pulse, SIN, half-wave, and full-wave waveforms can also be selected.

	By adopting a triaxial system and an optimized measurement system, leakage and noise within the equipment are reduced, enabling stable measurement of minute currents.

	Measurement of hysteresis
	The CS-8000 features functions convenient for measuring wide-bandgap semiconductors such as SiC and GaN that exhibit hysteresis. The dual-sweep function simultaneously displays UP sweep and DOWN sweep, allowing observation of hysteresis.


Safety structure
In addition to the interlock function, it also has an output limiting function. Voltage, current, and power limit values can each be set, preventing damage to the DUT. In addition, the hardware overcurrent protection function cuts off the current when it reaches 1.4 times the measurement range.


	Configuration structure
	HC units and fixtures can be selected according to the voltage and current of the measurement target.
