Functions & Configuration
GW Instek launches the new GBM-3000 series benchtop battery tester, which uses an AC 1kHz test signal to measure battery voltage and internal resistance at 300V (GBM-3300) and 80V (GBM-3080). The series features a 3.5" TFT LCD, 4-wire measurement method, high-resolution display capability (6-digit voltage / 5-digit resistance), independent GO/NOGO voltage and resistance judgment, and various communication interfaces, meeting the measurement needs of various battery types, from single cells to battery packs in final products, enabling users to achieve accurate measurement at every stage of production. The GBM-3000 series delivers excellent capability for measuring open-circuit voltage and resistance across various battery types. Voltage measurement accuracy is up to ±(0.01% reading + 3 digits) with a resolution of 10μV (at 8V). Resistance measurement accuracy is up to ±(0.5% reading + 5 digits) with a resolution of 0.1μΩ (at 3mΩ). To help users interpret measurement results quickly and clearly, the GBM-3000 series performs separate HI/LO judgments for voltage and resistance, and can switch to a simple (large-digit display) mode, meeting test accuracy requirements with clear, easy-to-read results that improve inspection efficiency. In addition to outstanding measurement capability, the GBM-3000 series offers many features for efficiency and convenience. To ensure validity, the test lead (probe) contact check function effectively indicates whether the test leads (probes) and DUT are in good contact, ensuring the validity of measured values. For convenience, the GBM-3000 series provides two data storage methods (up to 10,000 measurement values). "General storage" stores only measured voltage and resistance values; "statistical storage" includes relevant parameters for statistical analysis (Cp / Ckp / Mean / MAX / MIN ...). Users can first store measurement data in internal memory and then transfer it to a computer via flash drive for subsequent analysis, without being limited to a computer connection. In addition, for retrieving and storing measurement results via transmission methods, the GBM-3000 series provides RS-232C / USB device (virtual COM) for programming and data retrieval. The handler interface is used for external trigger control via PLC. All interfaces are standard, which not only saves instrument costs but also meets the requirements of different automated measurement systems.
