The Krohn-Hite Model 523 precision DC power supply is a highly stable and repeatable DC voltage source and DC current source, providing N.I.S.T. traceable voltage and current for production, calibration laboratories, QA and QC departments, design laboratories, or anywhere an accurate voltage and current source is required.

Using Krohn-Hite's advanced reference voltage, the 523 provides precise and stable voltage from ±10 nVdc to ±110.99999 Vdc within ±4 ppm over 90 days (±1 ppm, 1 year), and precise current from ±10 nA to ±110.99999 mA within ±8 ppm over 90 days (±16 ppm, 1 year). It is an extremely quiet source, with noise measured at <7 μVrms over a 10 Hz to 100 kHz bandwidth (<2 μVrms, 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz).

The Krohn-Hite 523 has a 7½-digit display and all settings are entered via a membrane keyboard. Output settings can be modified using add/subtract functions, multiply/divide functions, and cursor control keys. Output 2-wire, 4-wire, and chassis ground can be set with a single key press or via the GPIB interface bus. The crowbar function can place the output in a safe mode when needed. The 523 output can be set to 0 volts, allowing the output sense to maintain a true 4-wire low-impedance zero output. It is also quickly forced to zero before range changes to prevent any "unexpected voltage".

Load regulation 4-wire operation: <±0.1 ppm change from no load to 100 mA full load, typically no measurable change. Must be measured at the sense lead connection point with the load.
Compliance voltage limit: Settable in 1V steps from 1V to 110V. Compliance is limited to approximately 15% + 0.25V above the set value.
