Functions & Configuration

GW Instek launches the brand-new APS-7200 & 7300 AC power supplies. The maximum rated output for the APS-7200 is 2000VA, 310Vrms, 16.8Arms; for the APS-7300 it is 3000VA, 310Vrms, 25.2Arms, with an output frequency of 45.00~500.0Hz. The output voltage of 0~600Vrms and output frequency of 45~999.9Hz can be directly expanded at the user site through optional configuration, without the need to return the unit to the factory for modification. It is suitable for the testing and development of AC-DC power devices, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and electronic components.

The APS-7200 & 7300 offer a total of 9 measurement items (Vrms, Irms, F, Ipk, W, VA, PF, Ipk hold, CF) in terms of measurement functions, and provide an operation interface similar to an AC Power Meter, suitable for the LED industry or standby power consumption measurement. In ARB mode, the APS-7200 & 7300 provide seven major categories of waveforms—SINE waveform, Triangle waveform, Staircase waveform, Clipped Sinewave, Crest factor waveform, Surge waveform, and Fourier series—with nearly twenty thousand waveform combinations, capable of meeting the testing of abnormal simulated input power waveforms across various industries. 10 sets of Preset settings allow users to store ten sets of setting values; the Power ON Output setting allows Sequence, Simulate, and Program to automatically execute output after power-on.

To meet the test conditions of input power variations commonly found in consumer electronics, the APS-7200 & 7300 provide five methods to respond to special or abnormal voltage, frequency, and phase changes. 10 sets of Simulate simulate power interruption, voltage increase, or voltage decrease behavior; 10 sets of Sequence allow users to customize parameters and generate sine waves through step editing; 10 sets of Program are used to edit AC waveform output, and can simultaneously customize the upper/lower limits of measurement items for different DUTs; Ramp Control allows users to set the rate of change for output voltage rise and fall; Surge/Dip Control can simulate the DUT's input power generating a Surge or Dip voltage superimposed on the output voltage waveform at a specific time. In addition to providing OCP/OPP/OTP protection, when a 180-degree voltage-current phase difference (reverse current) is detected at the rear panel output terminal, the APS-7200 & 7300 will display the front panel reading in red font to alert the user, which is suitable for displaying the current measurement result of feedback to the grid during inverter feedback-to-grid testing.

The Ethernet Port on the rear panel of the APS-7200 & 7300 enables remote programming control, the Sync Output Socket provides a 10V output voltage for external synchronization use, and the Signal Output connector provides monitoring of Program execution results. The APS-7200 & 7300 also provide Trigger In/Out and Output on/off remote control functions, available to customers on the rear panel J1 connector.

  • Output capacity: APS-7200 (2000VA, 310Vrms, 16.8Arms)/ APS-7300 (3000VA, 310Vrms, 25.2Arms)

Output can be expanded to (0~600Vrms/45~999.9Hz) via optional accessories

  • ARB waveform output, Surge/Dip control

  • Measurement functions include VOLT, CURR, PWR, SVA, IPK, IPKH, FREQ, PF, CF

  • 10 Sequence function groups allow editing of output waveforms / 10 simulate mode groups for quick simulation of power transients / 10 Program mode groups for custom measurement sequences / 10 panel memory groups

  • Supports automatic execution of Sequence, Simulate, Program mode and output functions at power-on

  • Standard interfaces: USB Host, USB Device, LAN

  • Optional interfaces: GPIB (APS-001), RS232 (APS-007)
