Provides stable output

The BA4825 high-speed bipolar power supply is a wideband, high-speed, high-voltage (maximum 300Vp-p) power amplifier capable of handling signals from DC up to 2MHz and outputting bipolar (positive and negative) voltage and current. A general DC power supply can only provide current in one direction, whereas the BA4825 operates across 4 quadrants, so it can not only provide positive and negative voltage, but also both source and sink current.

Suitable for capacitive and inductive loads
Generally, driving a load containing capacitors or inductor coils with an AC power supply causes reverse current from the load side. In such cases, ordinary power supplies and amplifiers may not be able to drive the load. However, with BA series products, operation is possible even in the "sink" state where the directions of voltage and current are opposite. Therefore, stable operation (output) is possible even for capacitive and inductive loads such as piezoelectric elements and inductor coils.

Wideband, high speed, high voltage
The BA4850 has a bandwidth of DC to 50MHz and a slew rate of 6000V/µs, faithfully reproducing even fast-rising pulse signals and complex waveform signals. The BA4825 has a bandwidth of DC to 2MHz and a maximum output voltage of 300Vp-p, providing ample drive capability even for large piezoelectric elements and display components. Since both models can output from DC, amplification of waveforms with added offset and positive/negative asymmetric waveforms can be easily achieved.

Low output impedance
Extremely low output impedance is maintained across the entire bandwidth (BA4825: 0.5 Ω + 1.5 µH or less, typ). By minimizing the voltage drop caused by connecting a load, maximum power can be drawn.
