The state-of-the-art HORNET® high-voltage differential probe series combines a ±4000 V differential and common-mode input range with an outstanding >300 MHz bandwidth, making it a leading solution for the growing demands of wide-bandgap power electronics design—such as double-pulse testing of high-speed, high-voltage switching devices in SiC technology, as well as testing of IGBTs, thyristors, fast-switching high-voltage diodes, and more.

Functions & Configuration

The HORNET® series probes feature universal BNC output connectors, making them compatible with any oscilloscope in the lab that has 50 Ω input impedance, 1 MΩ input impedance, and a 50 Ω feed-through termination.

For high-voltage safety reasons, this high-voltage differential probe series is not suitable for handheld use or for integration into fully automated or manual test stations. HORNET® is therefore used as a voltage measurement component (permanently connected device) within a test system or safety test environment, and remote control is recommended.

The "PMK Probe Control" PC software with graphical user interface is free of charge and included with PMK's 2-channel and 4-channel power supplies PS-02 and PS-03, which are required to power the probes independently of the oscilloscope. Both the PS-02 and PS-03 power supplies have a USB interface and offer an optional LAN interface.

Calibrated or recalibrated upon delivery in accordance with ISO17025.

To accommodate the test points, we recommend using the new test points for 4 mm adapters with MMCX, SMA, BNC, or square-pin inputs.
