Several issues to consider when selecting a B-H analyzer? When using a B-H analyzer to test the magnetization characteristics of materials, there are some key issues that need to be carefully considered.
These issues involve equipment operation, data interpretation, and application of results.
Next, RIGOL Jingchuan will introduce several important issues that need to be considered in the use and application of B-H analyzers.
Q: What is the difference between a B-H analyzer and a DC curve tracer?
A: The measurement principle is the same. The difference lies in the excitation method. A DC curve tracer adjusts the output of a DC power supply to a sine wave or triangular wave at an extremely slow speed over several tens of seconds while exciting the sample, thereby obtaining a B-H waveform for one cycle. A B-H analyzer, on the other hand, generates a sine wave or square wave at the set frequency through a built-in signal generator rather than DC, then amplifies it through an AC power amplifier and excites the sample, thereby obtaining a B-H waveform for one cycle.
A DC curve tracer is suitable for static characteristic measurement of the magnetic properties of samples.
A B-H analyzer, however, is suitable for high-frequency characteristic measurement as dynamic characteristics of magnetic properties. IWATSU's SY series B-H analyzer systems are globally recognized professional AC BH parameter analysis instruments.

Q. What materials and shapes of samples can be measured with a B-H analyzer?
A. It can measure samples with closed magnetic circuit shapes that can be wound, such as soft magnetic toroidal, EI, and EE cores. In addition, when used in combination with the compact single-sheet magnetic measurement device IWATSU SY-956, plate-shaped and sheet-shaped samples can also be measured.
