The annual flagship event of Asia's power electronics industry, PCIM Asia Shenzhen (International Exhibition and Conference for Power Electronics, Intelligent Motion, Renewable Energy and Energy Management), was grandly held from August 26 to 28, 2026, in Halls 14 and 16 of the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao'an New Venue). Following the merger of IWATSU Measuring Instruments into the new company GRAPHTEC-IWATSU, the new company GI participated in an international exhibition for the first time and presented its full power electronics product line to Chinese customers. At the same time, Jiechuang Instruments officially launched its independently developed PHS-100/200/500 fanless high/low temperature simulation system to the market, providing a professional temperature simulation tool for power electronics R&D and device development engineering.
GRAPHTEC-IWATSU was formed by the merger of the Japan-based Graphtec Instrument Products Business Group and the IWATSU Measurement Division, with its headquarters in Kugayama, Tokyo (the former IWATSU site). PCIM2026 was held against the backdrop of a deep restructuring of the global power electronics market. AI technology has brought vigorous energy demand and requirements for efficient electrical energy management; the traditionally booming applications such as wind, solar and energy storage, amid full industry competition, gradually ceded their prominence in 2026 to AI server power supplies (PSU), SST solid-state transformers, high-performance automotive-grade devices, and others.
IWATSU (GI) has long been the preferred test and measurement solution supplier for the world's leading power electronics device and host brands, with a product line that ranges from probes to semiconductor test instruments and high-frequency magnetic loss analysis systems, providing comprehensive coverage.
Exhibits Overview:
SS-280A/H, SS-620, SS-660/P, SS-680, SS-640 50MHz high-frequency Rogowski coils, BumbeBee high-frequency high-voltage differential probes, FF-1500A optically isolated voltage probes, PHT-312-Z1 -55/205°C high/low temperature probes, and other products in the full probe family.

CS-8000 IV+CV semiconductor parameter analyzer system, supporting I-V capability testing up to 5000V and a maximum of 2000A, and achieving fA-level leakage current resolution. Through integration with Jiechuang Instruments' independently developed PHS-100/200/500 fanless high-temperature and high/low-temperature systems, it can complete the characterization of key parameters such as Rds on, Vce(sat), I-V curves, Vds(BD), and Igss for IGBT, SiC devices and modules at different temperatures including RT, 125℃, and 175℃. The CX-600 series dedicated Kelvin temperature-resistant fixtures from Vamtek, under Jiechuang Instruments, can support direct installation and measurement of devices in a variety of packages.

The PHS-X00 series was developed in response to current AECQ standard requirements. It is a multifunctional device suitable for power semiconductor devices, DBC devices, and power modules, and also supports temperature environment establishment for devices such as power magnetic cores. The system adopts a fanless design, eliminating the problem of temperature differences between the windward and leeward sides of devices and uneven heating and cooling caused by the hot air circulation of traditional high/low temperature chambers. It is also small in size and compact in structure, making it particularly suitable for high-temperature performance testing of devices, such as high-temperature leakage and high/low-temperature double-pulse loss testing.

This year's exhibition expanded its exhibition area to 30,000 square meters, bringing together 271 well-known companies in the power electronics field to comprehensively showcase products and technology applications across the entire power electronics industry chain. The concurrent PCIM Asia Shenzhen international conference will present a total of 131 high-quality academic reports, exploring the research and applications of power electronics technology in fields such as electric mobility, AI data centers, and new energy.
