Parameter description:

2330//2335AThe 233 model is a high-precision, high-accuracy, auto-ranging test instrument. It can simultaneously measure and display TRUE RMS voltage, TRUE RMS current, and display the RMS from DC power sources at frequencies above 400 kHz. Full-scale current and voltage input values are measured at one-thousandth of the maximum input current. The corresponding power is measured at 200 kHz volt-amperes, one-thousandth of input power, and at 400 kHz, two-thousandths of input power. The reason for these measurements is to enable the power supply to accommodate loads of any input power.

Multi-function

• In addition to testing TRUE RMS voltage, TRUE RMS current, and displaying the RMS of DC power, the 2330 model can also simultaneously test peak voltage, peak current, and frequency, and can calculate the volt-ampere product, as well as test the power factor and the energy accumulated over a period from 1 to  99 hours. These measured values can be displayed through the system panel or read using the IE488 standard interface

*High-frequency accuracy

•2330/2335AThis tester allows testing of sine waves or more complex waveforms over a very wide bandwidth and with high accuracy. It can accurately test current, voltage, power supply, and power factor at frequencies up to 400 kHz, far exceeding other V-A-W sampling systems. Its measurement of the polarity of voltage and current far surpasses most conventional multimeters. When it outputs at a frequency of 600 kHz, for approximate transmission waveforms, its measurement error is typically less than two digits

• At full-scale operation, the power supply can operate with loads ranging from 0.4 ohms to 400 kilohms

Wide measurement range

•2330/2335AThe power supply can generate power from 1 mW to 10000 W. Relying on circuit shunts or current-voltage sensors, the 2330 power supply can also increase its upper power generation limit by 10x or 100x. Full-scale voltages from 2 V to 2000 V (standard value 600 V) and full-scale currents from 5 mA to 5000 A (all RMS values) can support a wide range of load resistances. The input crest factor of full-scale voltage and current can reach 3. Moreover, the smaller the input value, the higher the crest factor. The RMS value of a sine wave input can be reliably measured at twice the standard full-scale value

Applicable measurement fields

•2330/2335ACan measure all types and levels of ultrasonic equipment, finished transformer testing, transformer core material testing, switching power supply testing, fluorescent lamp ballast resistance testing, mercury arc lamp circuit testing, sodium lamp ballast resistance testing, various types of motor speed control circuit testing, power testing of various devices with current input and output, testing of various SCR-controlled devices, high-frequency and/or variable current signal testing from any signal source, measurement of various devices via DC feedback voltages up to 500 kHz, characteristic measurement of various electric vehicle drives

Simple calibration and maintenance

•2330/2335AIt is an integrated tester with selectable independent input channels. All integrated circuits are mounted in sockets. DC can be individually calibrated on each channel and compared with a high-precision DC source. The internal software calibration program can complete most calibration tasks without hardware adjustment

Unique sampling technology/input isolation technology

•2330/2335AThe input voltage and current are sampled with 16-bit precision and converted into digital quantities, then sent to the circuit backplane via an optical link. This ensures that the signals between the current/voltage and the backplane do not affect each other. At the same time, the sampling frequency is controlled by the system's microprocessor, so that neither the frequency itself nor its harmonics can approach the measurement frequency or its harmonics. This precaution prevents jitter and the accompanying output pulse drift phenomenon.

IEE-488.2 bus control technology

•2330/2335AEquipped with an IEE-488.2 interface, it can execute all common commands and query commands. Any functional command entered from the front panel can be controlled via the IEE bus. Moreover, all functions that can be displayed can be queried and sent to the controller via the bus. Device status information (such as current range and voltage range) can also be transmitted or queried via the bus. The bus address can be set via the front panel. The address information can be displayed by pressing LOCAL while the unit is powered on. A remote indicator light can indicate the 2330/2335AControlled by remote control.

Magnetic loss refers to the phenomenon in which the work done by the external environment on a magnetic material during magnetization or demagnetization is converted into heat. It includes three categories: hysteresis, eddy current, and residual loss. In the strong magnetic field magnetization process, the first two categories are dominant; during weak magnetic field magnetization, for some materials (such as ferrite), residual loss accounts for a large proportion.

Hysteresis loss originates from irreversible magnetization processes in magnetic materials. During quasi-static magnetization, magnetic loss is proportional to the area of the hysteresis loop. When magnetized one cycle in an AC magnetic field, in addition to eddy current loss, magnetic loss also includes the consumption of domain wall acceleration motion and elastic energy.

Under the action of an AC magnetic field, eddy currents are generated in the magnetic conductor by magnetic induction, causing the magnet to heat up, which is eddy current loss. At the same time, the eddy currents also generate a magnetic field opposite to the direction of the original AC magnetic field, shielding the effect of the magnetizing field in the magnet, and causing the AC magnetizing field strength to decay exponentially, producing a skin effect.

KH2335A can use its higher bandwidth and performance characteristics under low power factor to solve most problems of high-precision magnetic loss measurement. Because of its excellent performance, it has excellent cost performance compared with professional B-H analyzers, and is particularly suitable for production lines, start-ups, and general soft magnetic material customers.
