Excellent benchtop performance

The clear, logical front panel of the 34401A makes it easy to select all major measurement functions, including traditional "bench" functions like continuity and diode testing; math functions such as null, dB, dBm, limit testing, and max/min/average are also easy to select. Simple menus give you access to powerful advanced features, such as storing up to 512 readings in internal memory. Measurement results are shown on a bright, highly visible display. The rugged housing ensures the instrument won't be damaged even in harsh environments, and the optional accessory pouch makes it easy to pack and carry.

Advanced performance in systems

The 34401A can process 1000 readings per second, including ASCII-format GPIB bus transmission. Both GPIB and RS-232 are standard, letting you choose the interface that best meets your needs. The 34401A responds to three different command languages. It accepts SCPI commands (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments), ensuring current and future compatibility. It also responds to Agilent 3478A and Fluke 8840A commands, protecting your software investment through backward compatibility. Drivers are also available for National Instruments' Labview and VEE software.
